52.1475—Control strategy and regulations: Sulfur oxides.
(a)
The requirements of subpart G of this chapter are not met since the plan does not adequately provide for attainment and maintenance of the National Ambient Air Quality Standards for sulfur oxides in the Nevada Intrastate Region.
(b)
Article 8.1.3 of Nevada's “Air Quality Regulations” (emission limitation for sulfur from existing copper smelters), which is part of the sulfur oxides control strategy, is disapproved since it does not provide the degree of control needed to attain and maintain the National Ambient Air Quality Standards for sulfur oxides in the Nevada Intrastate Region.
