This unidentified female was found in the East River, near 57th Street in New York City. She is believed to be a white female, but may also be Hispanic or of mixed ancestry. Her weight was between 140 and 155 pounds and she is estimated to have been 12 to 18 years of age. She had likely been deceased for several months prior to the discovery of her remains. She was wearing olive cargo pants, a blue “Champion” sports bra, blue paisley boxer shorts, and a t-shirt with a skunk emblem on the front and the words “Perfect Thyroid” on the back; Perfect Thyroid is a band local to the Kingston, NY area. Pictured above are images of the decedent’s clothing and a composite to illustrate what she may have looked like in life. Due to the condition of the remains, some items in the composite – such as hairstyle and skin tone – are the artist’s estimations to complete the image and should not be used as significant markers for identification.
