27-103. Board of governors; membership; appointment; terms; compensation A. The board of governors of the department shall consist of five members who shall be appointed by the governor. B. The term of each member shall be five years, one term to expire January 31 each year. Upon expiration of the term of a member a successor shall be appointed for a full term of five years. A member may continue to serve until a successor is appointed and qualified. Appointment to fill a vacancy resulting other than from expiration of term shall be for the unexpired portion of the term only. C. Members of the board shall receive no compensation for their services. |
