28-955.02. Motorcycle noise level rules A. The department shall establish by rule maximum operating noise levels for motorcycles operated in this state. B. The rules shall: 1. Provide for varying maximum operational noise levels for motorcycles, categorized by year of manufacture and speed of operation of the motorcycle. 2. Be based on noise reduction levels achieved by reasonable and prudent operation of a motorcycle and proper maintenance of the noise reduction equipment. |
