Sec. 45a-729. (Formerly Sec. 45-63c). Penalty for violation of provisions re
adoption placement. Any person who places a child for adoption in violation of section
45a-727 or 45a-764 or assists in such a placement shall be fined not more than five
thousand dollars or imprisoned not less than one year or more than five years, or both.
