      Sec. 9-411. Number of candidates required on petition for town committee 
members. Any provision of law to the contrary notwithstanding, no primary petition 
for town committee members shall be approved unless it contains the names of a number 
of candidates, other than party-endorsed candidates, equal in number to at least twenty-five per cent of the number of town committee members to be elected in the town or 
political subdivision, as the case may be.
