        13.5  ASSISTANT FOR DEPARTMENT OF REVENUE.
         The attorney general may appoint one assistant attorney general to
      perform and supervise the legal work of the department of revenue,
      and in such event the salary and necessary traveling expenses of such
      assistant attorney general shall be paid from the appropriation to
      said department of revenue, and upon request of the attorney general
      the department of revenue shall provide and equip a suitable office
      and the necessary secretarial assistance for such assistant attorney
      general.
