468.622 - DRAINAGE CONNECTION WITH HIGHWAY.

        468.622  DRAINAGE CONNECTION WITH HIGHWAY.         When the course of natural drainage of any land runs to a public      highway, the owner of such land shall have the right to enter upon      such highway for the purpose of connecting the owner's drain or ditch      with any drain or ditch constructed along or across the said highway,      but in making such connections, the owner shall do so in accordance      with specifications furnished by the highway authorities having      jurisdiction thereof, which specifications shall be furnished to the      owner on application.  The owner shall leave the highway in as good      condition in every way as it was before the said work was done.         If a tile line or drainage ditch must be projected across the      right of way to a suitable outlet, the expense of both material and      labor used in installing the tile line or drainage ditch across the      highway and any subsequent repair thereof shall be paid from funds      available for the highways affected.
