80.1 - DEPARTMENT CREATED.



        80.1  DEPARTMENT CREATED.
         There is hereby created a department of the state government which
      shall be known and designated as the department of public safety,
      which shall consist of a commissioner of public safety and of such
      officers and employees as may be required, one of whom shall be an
      attorney admitted to practice law in this state.  Such attorney shall
      be an assistant attorney general appointed by the attorney general
      who shall fix the assistant's salary.  The department shall reimburse
      the attorney general for the salary and expense of such assistant
      attorney general and furnish the assistant a suitable office if
      requested by the attorney general.
