263.19 - PURCHASES.

        263.19  PURCHASES.
         Any purchase in excess of ten thousand dollars, of materials,
      appliances, instruments, or supplies by the university of Iowa
      hospitals and clinics, when the price of the materials, appliances,
      instruments, or supplies to be purchased is subject to competition,
      shall be made pursuant to open competitive quotations, and all
      contracts for such purchases shall be subject to chapter 72.
      However, purchases may be made through a hospital group purchasing
      organization provided that the university of Iowa hospitals and
      clinics is a member of the organization.
