275.37A - DECREASE IN NUMBER OF DIRECTORS.

        275.37A  DECREASE IN NUMBER OF DIRECTORS.
         1.  A change from seven to five directors shall be effected in a
      district at the first regular school election after authorization by
      the voters in the following manner:
         a.  If at the first election in the district there are four
      terms expiring, three directors shall be elected.  At the second
      election in that district, if three terms are expiring, two directors
      shall be elected.
         b.  If at the first election there are three terms expiring,
      two directors shall be elected.  At the second election in that
      district, if four terms are expiring, three directors shall be
      elected.
         2.  If some or all of the directors are elected from director
      districts, the board shall devise a plan to reduce the number of
      members so that as nearly as possible one-half of the members of the
      board shall be elected biennially and so that each district will be
      continuously represented.
