279.1 ORGANIZATION.
The board of directors of each school corporation shall meet and
organize at the first regular meeting after the canvass for the
regular school election at some suitable place to be designated by
the secretary. Notice of the place and hour of the meeting shall be
given by the secretary to each member and member-elect of the board.
Such organization shall be effected by the election of a president
from the members of the board, who shall be entitled to vote as a
