        331.751  OFFICE OF COUNTY ATTORNEY.         1.  The office of county attorney is an elective office except      that if a vacancy occurs in the office, a successor shall be      appointed to the unexpired term as provided in chapter 69.         2.  A person elected or appointed to the office of county attorney      shall be a registered voter of the county, be admitted to the      practice of law in the courts of this state as provided by law,      qualify by taking the oath of office as provided in section 63.10,      and give bond as provided in section 64.8.  A person is not qualified      for the office of county attorney while the person's license to      practice law in this or any other state is suspended or revoked.         3.  The term of office of the county attorney is four years.
