336.17 HISTORICAL ASSOCIATION. If a local county historical association is formed in a county having a free public library, the trustees of the library may unite with the historical association and set apart the necessary room to care for articles which come into the possession of the association. The trustees may purchase necessary receptacles and materials for the preservation and protection of articles which are of a historical and educational nature.
