      22-3720.   Subpoena power.The Kansas parole board shall have power to issuesubpoenas requiring theattendance of any witnesses and the production ofany records, books,papers and documents that it considersnecessary for the investigation of theissues before it. Subpoenas may be signed and oaths administered by anymember of the parole board. Subpoenas so issued may beserved by any law enforcementofficer, in the same manner as similar process in the district court. Anyperson who testifies falsely, fails to appear when subpoenaed or failsor refuses to produce material pursuant to the subpoena shall besubject to the same orders and penalties to which a person before a courtis subject. Any district court of this state, upon application of the paroleboard, may in its discretion compel the attendanceof witnesses, theproduction of material and the giving of testimony before the parole board, byan attachment for contempt or otherwisein the same manner asproduction of evidence may be compelled before the district court.
