Article 9.--WATERSHED DEVELOPMENT

      24-901.   General plan for water development.As soon as practicable after organization the division of waterresources shall in conjunction with the federal government by way ofsecuring financial and professional aid and assistance, work out asystematic general plan for the complete development of each watershed inthe state in order to secure the most advantageous adjustment of theinterest involved in matters of floods, drainage, irrigation, water powerand navigation. Where any department of the federal government is now orhereafter may be engaged in the development of plans, affecting any of thesubjects referred to in this act this division of water resources mayco-operate with such federal department. Water development of all kindsthroughout the state shall conform to the general plans adopted by thedivision of water resources.
