Article 11.--ADVANCE VOTING

      25-1115.   "General election" and "primary election" defined; dates forprimary and general elections specified.(a) "General election" means the election held on the Tuesday succeedingthe first Monday in November of even-numbered years, the elections heldfor officers on the first Tuesday in April, and in the case of specialelections of any officers to fill vacancies, the election at which anysuch officer is finally elected.

      (b)   "Primary election" means the election held on the first Tuesdayin August of even-numbered years, the election held five weeks precedingthe election on the first Tuesday in April,and any other preliminary election at which part of the candidates forspecial election to any national, state, county, city or school officeare eliminated by the process of the election but at which no officer isfinally elected.
