Chapter 25.--ELECTIONS
Article 27.--VOTING PLACES AND MATERIALS THEREFOR

      25-2706.   Instructions, books and other materials;printing in foreign languages; responsibilities of county election officers andsecretary of state.(a) The county election officer shall prepare and furnish copies of allregistrations and all books, maps, instructions and blanks needed forthe use and guidance of election boards and voters. County electionofficers may adopt such rules and regulations for elections as may beneeded and not in conflict with state law or rules and regulations. Suchrules and regulations shall be submitted to the secretary of state forapproval.

      (b)   The county election officer shall furnish printed instructionsto election boards, defining their duties and the law governingelections.

      (c) (1)   The county election officer shall furnish:

      (A)   Printed instructionsto voters;

      (B)   a list of voters' rights and responsibilities;

      (C)   a sample ballot;

      (D)   notification of the date of the election; and

      (E)   the polling place hours.

      (2)   Each of the items in paragraph (1) shall be posted in every votingplaceat every election.

      (3)   Wherever the secretary of state deems it advisable,all items listed in subsection (c) shall be printed in English and in alanguage orlanguages other thanEnglish.

      (d)   The secretary of state shall specify the form and contents ofinstructions to voters, list of voters' rights and responsibilities andinstructions to election boards. Suchspecifications shall be transmitted to county election officers and maybe changed from time to time by the secretary of state.
