31-703. Agreements between state fire marshal andstate educational institutions; terms and limitations.The state fire marshal and any state educational institution mayenterinto an agreement under whichemployees of the state educational institution are commissioned by the statefire marshal to inspect buildings. Suchagreements shall include provisions relating to:
(a) The scope of the powers, duties and functions of commissioned inspectorsand any limitations on suchpowers, duties and functions.
(b) The procedures that will be followed by commissioned inspectors inconducting inspections andreporting the results of such inspections.
(c) Subject to K.S.A. 2009 Supp. 31-704, and amendments thereto, thequalifications of anemployee who may be appointed as a commissioned inspector.
(d) Subject to K.S.A. 2009 Supp. 31-704, and amendments thereto, the term orlength of timean employee shall be appointedas a commissioned inspector.
(e) The procedures or conditions under which an appointment as a commissionedinspector may be revokedby the state fire marshal.
(f) Notification of the local fire authority of the time and location ofinspections to be conducted by acommissioned inspector and the results of any such inspection.
(g) Any other terms the parties deem necessary or advisable.
