Chapter 32.--WILDLIFE, PARKS AND RECREATION
Article 9.--LICENSES, PERMITS, STAMPS AND OTHER ISSUES

      32-952.   Scientific, educational or exhibition permit.(a) A scientific, educational or exhibition permit is required to collect, forscientific, educational or exhibition purposes, any wildlife protected by lawor rules and regulations of the secretary.

      (b)   Any person who desires to engage in any activity described insubsection (a) shall apply to thesecretary for a scientific, educational or exhibition permit. The feeprescribed pursuant to K.S.A. 32-988 shall accompany theapplication. Upon receipt of the application and fee, the secretary may issueto the applicant a scientific, educational or exhibition permit to collectspecimens of wildlife protected by law or rules and regulations of thesecretary, subject to rules and regulations adopted by the secretary inaccordance with K.S.A. 32-805 and amendments thereto.

      (c)   Wildlife protected by law or rules and regulations of the secretary maybe possessed at any time by a person holding a scientific, educational orexhibition permit and may be shipped or transported within or without thestate, by permission of the secretary. Application for shipment ortransportation shall state the name and address of the person causing theshipping or transporting, the purposes for shipping or transporting, the numberand kinds of specimens to be shipped, whether living or dead, and the name andaddress of the person to whom shipped or transported.

      (d)   The secretary shall adopt, in accordance with K.S.A. 32-805 andamendments thereto, such rules and regulations as necessary to implement thissection.
