Article 2.--INSPECTING, SAMPLING, STORING, WEIGHING AND GRADING GRAIN; TERMINAL AND LOCAL WAREHOUSES

      34-230a.   Hearings; powers of secretary.The secretary shall have power in the conduct of any hearingauthorizedto be held by the secretary to examine, or cause to beexamined, under oath, anyperson, and to examine or cause to be examined, books and records of anylicensee; to hear testimony and take proof material for thesecretary's informationin the discharge of such duties under this act; to administer or cause to beadministered oaths; and for any such purposes to issue subpoenas, torequire the attendance of witnesses and the production of books which shallbe effective in any part of this state. Any district court,or any judge thereof, either in term time or in vacation, may by order dulyentered, require the attendance of witnesses and the production of relevantbooks and records subpoenaed by the secretary. The courtor judge maycompel obedience to the court's or judge's order byproceedings for contempt.
