Article 12.--INTERSTATE COMPACT ON PLACEMENT OF CHILDREN

      38-1206.   Enforcement of compact; duties of state departments, agenciesand officers; failure to comply with provisions of compact by any professional,penalty.The courts, departments, agencies and officers of this state andits subdivisions shall enforce this compact and shall do all thingsappropriate to the effectuation of its purposes and intent which may be withintheir respective jurisdictions.Failure to comply with the provisions of the interstate compact on theplacement of children by any professional providing services related to theplacement of children is a class C misdemeanor. For the purposes of thissection, "professional" means any person who receives payment orcompensation for providing services related to the placement of children foradoption.
