39-418. Same; hospital advisory council; appointment; duties;monthly publication of recipients' names and addresses.The board of county commissioners within 90 days after the taking effectof this act shall appoint a hospital advisory council consisting of notmore than five citizens residents of such county selected so as toprovide a representative on said council from the hospital of theuniversity of Kansas medical center and a representative from each ofthe other hospitals located in the county. Said council shall advise andconsult with the board of county commissioners and make recommendationsin the formation and establishment of rules and regulations as providedin K.S.A. 39-417.
The members of the hospital advisory council shall serve withoutcompensation and shall serve at the will and pleasure of such board ofcounty commissioners: Provided, Disbursements of the countyhospital fund shall be by voucher, approved by the board of countycommissioners, which vouchers shall be paid in the same manner as areother county vouchers and shall be subject to the same auditingprocedure as are other county vouchers: Provided further, Thatthere be published monthly in the official county paper, the names andaddresses of each person for whom payment is made under this act, andthe amount of each warrant issued to a hospital in payment of each caseshall be separately stated in said publication.
