40-2,170. Same; coverage not affected,when.This act shall not be construed to affect the prescribingand coverage of off-label use of drugs for any indication not specified inK.S.A. 40-2,168, nor does this act alter existing law regardingprovisionslimiting the coverage of prescription drugs that have not been approved by thefederal food and drug administration; does not require coverage for anyprescription drug when the federal food and drug administration has determinedits use to be contraindicated; and does not require coverage for experimentaldrugs not otherwise approved for any indication by the federalfood and drug administration.
