Chapter 42.--IRRIGATION
Article 3.--IRRIGATION AND IRRIGATION DISTRICTS

      42-367.   Hearing on petition.Such petition shall specify the amount of bonds to be voted and thelength of time such bonds shall run, and shall be signed by not less thanthree-fifths of the owners of land within said district who are qualifiedelectors of the county in which said district is located. The filing ofsuch petition in the office of the county clerk of such county shall be apresentation of the same to said board of county commissioners, and uponthe filing of the same the county clerk shall immediately notify themembers of said board of county commissioners thereof, and it shall be theduty of said board of county commissioners to meet at their usual place ofmeeting within ten days after the filing of said petition and consider thesame; and if said board shall find that said petition is in due form andsigned by not less than three-fifths of the owners of land within saidirrigation district who are qualified electors of the county in which saiddistrict is located, they shall make an order calling an election in saiddistrict to vote upon the proposition to issue said bonds.
