Article 1.--GENERAL PROVISIONS

      43-161.   Same; juror questionnaires; failure to orfalsely answering questions, criminal penalty.Each jury commissioner may require any personwhose name has been selected for a jury list prepared in accordance with theprovisions of K.S.A. 43-162 and amendments thereto toanswer in writing such questions as the commissioner may address tosuch person, relating to such person's name, age, residence, occupationandqualifications as a juror, with aview to the due and faithful jury service of such person andsuchquestions involving similar matters relating toall persons living in such person's residence.

      Any such personwhose name has been selected for a jury list who fails or refuses toanswersuch questions in writing and signing such person'snamethereto, shall be cited forcontempt of court.

      Any such person whose name has been selectedfor a jury list who willfully or corruptly makesfalse answers to such questions put to such person by the jurycommissioner shallbe guilty of a class A nonperson misdemeanor.
