Article 6.--REGULATION OF LABOR AND INDUSTRY

      44-614.   Labor unions; collectivebargaining.Any union or association of workers engaged in the operation of suchindustries, employments, public utilities or common carriers, whichshall incorporate under the laws of this state shall be considered andrecognized in all its proceedings as a legal entity by the secretary oflabor and may appear beforethe secretary through and by itsproper officers, attorneys or other representatives. The right of suchcorporations, and of such unincorporated unions or associations ofworkers, to bargain collectively for their members is hereby recognized.The individual members of such unincorporated unions or associations,who shall desire to avail themselves of such right of collectivebargaining, shall appoint in writing some officer or officers of suchunion or association, or some other person or persons as their agents ortrustees with authority to enter into such collective bargains and torepresent the individuals in all matters relating thereto. Suchwritten appointment of agents or trustees shall be made a permanentrecord of such union or association. All such collective bargains,contracts, or agreements shall be subject to the provisions of K.S.A. 44-609and amendments thereto.
