Article 6.--REGULATION OF LABOR AND INDUSTRY

      44-637.   Definitions.As used in this act: (a) "Person" means an individual, corporation,partnership, company, agency, institution or association. (b) "Children"means minor personsunder the age of fourteen (14) years. (c) "Minor" means a person underthe age of eighteen (18) years. (d) "Factory" means any premises wheresteam, water or other mechanical power is used in aid of anymanufacturing process. (e) "Workshop" means any premises, room, orplace, not being a factory as above defined, wherein any manual labor isbeing performed, and to which or over which premises, room or place theemployer of the person or persons working therein has the right ofaccess or control. (f) "Public works" means any agency of state governmentand its political subdivisions and municipalities including schools, countiesand cities. The exercise of manual labor in a private house, or aprivate room, by the family dwelling therein, or by any of them, or incase a majority of persons therein employed are members of such family,shall not of itself constitute such house or room a workshop within thisdefinition.
