Article 8.--EMPLOYER AND EMPLOYEE RELATIONS

      44-822.   Rights of agricultural employers.An agricultural employer shall have the right to manage his ownproduction operations including all decisions as to the equipment andmaterials used to grow and market his crops and all determinations as tothe crops to be produced. Such an employer shall also have the right toemploy himself or a member of his family, on his own operations and at alltimes to speak freely to his employee in regard to these matters, exceptthat he may not threaten discharge or wage loss because of an employee'slabor activities carried on in accordance with this act.

      Nothing in this act is intended to deprive an agricultural employer ofhis existing right to:

      (a)   Direct the work of his employees;

      (b)   Hire, promote, demote, transfer, assign and retain employees;

      (c)   Suspend or discharge employees for cause;

      (d)   Maintain the efficiency of operations;

      (e)   Relieve employees from duties because of lack of work or for otherlegitimate reasons;

      (f)   Determine the methods, means and personnel by which operations areto be carried on.
