Chapter 46.--LEGISLATURE
Article 4.--INTERSTATE COOPERATION COMMISSION

      46-404.   Kansas commission on interstate cooperation; membership; chairperson,vice-chairperson and secretary designated.There is hereby established the Kansas commission on interstatecooperation. This commission shall be composed of the seven membersof the senate committee on interstate cooperation, the seven membersof the house committee on interstate cooperation and the six membersof the governor's committee on interstate cooperation. In odd-numberedyears, the chairperson of thehouse committee on interstate cooperation shall bechairperson ofthe commission and the chairperson of thesenate committee on interstatecooperation shall be vice-chairpersonthereof. In even-numbered years, thechairperson of the senate committeeon interstate cooperation shall be chairpersonof the commission and the chairperson of the house committeeon interstate cooperation shall be vice-chairpersonthereof. At any meeting at which thechairperson is unable tobe present, such officer may appoint another legislator of the same houseand party to serve as a member of the commission in such officer's place butthe member so appointed shall not act as chairperson or vice-chairpersonthereof. The revisor of statutes shall serve as secretary of the commission.
