Chapter 46.--LEGISLATURE
Article 4.--INTERSTATE COOPERATION COMMISSION

      46-408.   Commission; reports; compensation, expenses and allowances;expenditures; participation with other states in council of state governments,national conference of commissioners on uniform state laws and nationalconference of state legislatures.The commission shall report to the governor and to the legislature at suchtimes as it deems appropriate. Its members,except the governor's committee, and the members of all delegations andcommittees which it establishes shall receive compensation and travelexpenses and subsistence expenses or allowances for attendance at meetingsof the commission authorized by the chairperson or the commission as providedin K.S.A. 75-3212 and amendments thereto. The secretary shallreceive travel expenses and subsistence expenses as provided in K.S.A. 75-3212and amendments thereto for attendance at meetings, butshall receive no per diem compensation. Members of the governor's committeeshall receive travel expenses and subsistence expenses or allowances asprovided in K.S.A. 75-3212 and amendments thereto which shall bepaid by the respective departments of such members. The commission mayincur such expenses as may be necessary for the proper performance of itsduties, and it may by contributions: (a) To the council of stategovernments, participate with other states, in maintaining thecouncil's district and central secretariats, and its other governmentalservices; (b) to the national conference of commissioners on uniformstate laws, participate with other states, in maintaining and conductingthe services of the national conference; and (c) to the national conferenceof state legislatures, participate with other states in the maintenanceand conduct of the programs and services of the conference.
