Article 7a.--PROTECTION OF CONSUMER INFORMATION

      50-7a03.   Destruction of consumer information;exception.Unless otherwise required by federal law or regulation, aperson or business shall take reasonable steps to destroy or arrange for thedestruction of a customer's records within its custody or control containingpersonal information which is no longer to be retained by the person orbusiness by shredding, erasing or otherwise modifying the personal informationin the records to make it unreadable or undecipherable through any means.
