Chapter 59.--PROBATE CODE Article 6a.--ELECTIVE SHARE OF SURVIVING SPOUSE

      59-6a216.   Effectiveness of act.Any act done in any proceeding or any irrevocably accruedright acquired, before the effective date of this act is not impaired by thisact. If a right is acquired, extinguished or barred upon the expiration of aprescribed period of time which has commenced to run by the provisions of anystatute before the effective date, the provisions shall remain in force withrespect to that right.
