Article 14.--REGULATION OF DENTISTS AND DENTAL HYGIENISTS

      65-1465.   Denture or dental prosthesis to be marked with name or socialsecurity number, or both, of patient.(a) Every complete upper and lower denture or removable dental prosthesisfabricated by a practitioner of dentistry or fabricated pursuant to suchpractitioner's work order, shall be marked with the name or social securitynumber, or both, of the patient for whom the prosthesis is intended. Themarkings shall be done during fabrication and shall be permanent, legibleand cosmetically acceptable. The exact location of the markings and methodused to apply or implant the markings shall be determined by the dentistor dental laboratory fabricating the prosthesis. If in the professionaljudgment of the dentist, this full identification is not possible, the nameor social security number may be omitted.

      (b)   Any removable dental prosthesis in existence prior to the effectivedate of this act, which was not marked in accordance with subsection (a), shall be so marked at the time of any subsequent rebasing or duplication.
