Article 17.--REGULATION OF EMBALMERS AND FUNERAL DIRECTORS; FUNERAL ESTABLISHMENTS

      65-1713.   Funeral director defined; businessname.(a) A "funeral director" is a person engaged in or conducting, orholding oneself out as engaged in or conducting, thebusiness of:

      (1)   Preparing dead human bodies, other than by embalming,for disposition; or

      (2)   Meeting with families for the purpose of making at-needfuneral arrangements; or

      (3)   Directing and supervising thedisposition of dead humanbodies; or

      (4)   Providing or maintaining afuneral establishment, branch funeral establishment or crematory.

      (b)   A funeral director shall, inconnection with such person's name or business, use the words"funeral director," "undertaker," "mortician," or any other title implying thatsuch person is engaged in the business herein described.
