Article 19.--LICENSURE OF ENTITIES BY STATE BOARD OF COSMETOLOGY

      65-1928.   Braiding of hair; exemption of personsengaged therein from practice of cosmetology, requirements; duties of secretaryof health and environment.The secretary of health and environment shall develop abrochure containing information about infection control techniques which areappropriate for hair braiding outside the salon setting. This brochure shall bemade available through the department of health and environment's website or bymail, upon request, for a feeto cover the department of health and environment's printing costs. Thebrochure shall contain a self-testwith questions on the information contained in the brochure. For an individualengaged in hair braiding to be exempt from the practice of cosmetology underK.S.A. 65-1901 and amendments thereto, such individual shall complete theself-test part of the brochure and keep the brochure and completed self-testavailable at the location at which the individual is braiding hair.
