Article 28.--HEALING ARTS

      65-2872b.   Same; administration of epinephrine;limitation of liability.(a) The practice of the healing arts shall not be construedtoinclude any personadministering epinephrine in emergency situations to a student or a member ofa school staff if: (1) The personadministering the epinephrine reasonably believes that the student or staffmember is exhibiting the signs andsymptoms of an anaphylactic reaction; (2) a physician has authorized, inwriting, the school to maintain a stocksupply of epinephrine; and (3) the epinephrine is administered at school, onschool property or at a school-sponsored event.

      (b)   Any person who gratuitously and in good faith renders emergency care ortreatment through theadministration of epinephrine to a student or a member of a school staff atschool, on school property or at aschool-sponsored event shall not be held liable for any civil damages as aresult of such care or administrationor as a result of any act or failure to act in providing or arranging furthermedical treatment where the personacts as an ordinary reasonably prudent person would have acted under the sameor similar circumstances.
