Article 28a.--PHYSICIAN ASSISTANTS

      65-28a07.   Temporary licensure; period ofvalidity.(a) The state board of healingarts shall provide for the temporary licensure ofany physicianassistant who has made proper application forlicensure, has therequired qualifications for licensure, except forexamination, and haspaid the prescribed license fee. Such temporarylicense shallauthorize the person so licensed to provide patientservices within thelimits of the temporarylicense.

      (b)   A temporary license is valid (1) for one year from the date ofissuance or (2) until the state board of healing arts makes a finaldetermination on the applicant's request for licensure. The state board ofhealing arts may extend a temporary license, upon a majority vote of themembers of the board, for a period not to exceed one year.
