Article 5a.--CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL HEALTH CARE NEEDS

      65-5a01.   Definitions.As used in this act: (a) "A child with special health care needs" means aperson under 21 years of age who has an organic disease, defect orcondition which may hinder the achievement of normal physical growth and development.

      (b)   "Services for children with special health care needs" means theprogram administered by the secretary of health and environment pursuant toarticle 5a of chapter 65 of Kansas Statutes Annotated and acts amendatorythereof or supplemental thereto.

      (c)   "Physician" means any person licensed by the state board ofhealing arts to practice medicine and surgery.

      (d)   "Special health services" means services for children with specialhealth care needs.
