Article 6a.--MEAT AND POULTRY

      65-6a25.   Sanitary conditions of establishments; sanitation rules andregulations; adulterated meat, poultry or products.The secretary shall cause to be made, by veterinarians or by othercompetent inspectors, such inspection of all slaughtering, canning,salting, packing or similar establishments in which livestock, domesticrabbits or poultry areslaughtered and in which the meat and meat food products andpoultry and poultryproducts thereof are prepared for intrastate commerce as may be necessaryto become informed concerning the sanitaryconditions of the establishment and toprescribe the rules and regulations of sanitation under which suchestablishments shall be maintained. Where the sanitary conditions ofany such establishments are such that the meat or meat food products orpoultry or poultry products are rendered adulterated, thesecretary shall refuse toallow the meat or meat products or poultry or poultryproducts to belabeled, marked, stamped or tagged as "Kansas inspected and passed."
