Article 6a.--MEAT AND POULTRY

      65-6a40.   Penalties.Any person who violates any of the provisions of this actor theprovisions of any rule or regulation adopted under the provisions of thisact for which no other criminal penalty is provided shall be deemed guiltyof a nonperson misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shallbe punished byimprisonment for not more than one year, or by a fine of not more than $1000,or by both such imprisonment andfine. Ifsuch violation involves intent to defraud, or any transportation ordistribution or attempted transportation ordistribution of an article that is adulterated, such person shall be deemedguilty of a nonperson felony and upon conviction thereof shall be punishedbyimprisonment for not more than three years or by a fine of not morethan $10,000, or by both suchimprisonment and fine. No person shall besubject topenalties underthissection for receiving for transportation or distribution any article oranimal in violationof this act if such receipt was made in good faith.
