Article 23.--NUCLEAR GENERATING FACILITY SECURITY GUARDS

      66-2305.   Nuclear security guard; detaining suspect;defense.(a) An armed nuclear security guard, with reasonable belief,maydetain in or on a nuclear generating facility or a structure or fenced yard ofa nuclear generating facility in a reasonable manner and for a reasonable timeany person who is suspected of or attempting to commit any of the crimesspecified under subsection (a) or (b) ofK.S.A. 2009 Supp.66-2304, andamendments thereto,for the purpose of summoning a law enforcement officer.

      (b)   Reasonable belief of an armed nuclear security guard is a defense to acivil or criminal action against an armed nuclear security guard, such guard'semployer orany owner of the nuclear generating facility where such guard is employedfor falsearrest, false or unlawful imprisonment or wrongful detention.
