Article 1.--GENERAL PROVISIONS

      68-169.   Joint agreements between secretary of transportation and localunits and between local units.Any county, city or political subdivision of this state shall have theauthority to enter into written agreements with each other or with thesecretary of transportation with respect to the planning, designing,financing, constructing, reconstructing, maintaining, acquiring ofright-of-way or establishing the controlled access facilities of anyexisting or proposed highway, road, street or connecting link, includingbridges, traffic control devices and other such improvements locatedthereon. Expenditures made pursuant to such agreements shall beconsidered proper expenditures of public funds, including state funds, notwithstandingthe location of such improvement or facility outside the boundary orjurisdiction of such county, city or political subdivision. This sectionshall not be construed as amending or repealing any existing lawrelating to the same subject but shall be construed as supplementarythereto.
