Article 10.--NAMING AND MARKING OF HIGHWAYS AND BRIDGES

      68-1060.   Designation of part of U.S. 24, U.S. 59 andK-92 as the 95th division, the iron men of Metz highway.United States highway 24 from the east city limits ofTopeka, then east on United States highway 24, to the junction with UnitedStates highway 59, then north on United States highway 59, to the junctionwith K-92 highway, then in a northeasterly direction on K-92 highway to thecity of Leavenworth, is hereby designated as the 95th division, the iron menof Metz highway.The secretary oftransportation shall place signs along the highway right-of-way at properintervals to indicate that the highway is the 95th division, the iron men ofMetz highway, except that such signsshall not be placed until thesecretaryhas received sufficient moneys from gifts and donations to reimburse thesecretary for the cost of placing such signs and an additional 50% of theinitial cost to defray future maintenance or replacement costs of such signs.The secretary of transportationmay accept and administer gifts and donations to aid in obtaining andinstalling suitable signs.
