Article 20.--TOLL ROADS OR TURNPIKES

      68-2067.   Surveys and studies.The authority is hereby authorized and directed to make such surveys andstudies of the turnpike project as may be necessary to effect the financingauthorized by this act at the earliest practicable time, and for thispurpose to employ such consulting engineers, traffic engineers, legal andfinancial experts and such other employees and agents as it may deemnecessary. To effect the purpose of this act, the secretary oftransportation shall make available to the authority all data in thesecretary's possession which may be useful to the authority in making suchsurveys and studies and the secretary may furnish such assistance in makinginvestigations and in preparing designs for the turnpike project as may beagreed upon between the secretary and the authority, the cost of suchsurveys and expenses incurred by the secretary to be paid by the authority.Studies may be made from time to time to determine whether additionalinterchanges would be feasible in securing access to the roads forindustrial or potential industrial areas. Costs of such feasibility studiesshall be paid by the authority.
