Chapter 71.--SCHOOLS--COMMUNITY COLLEGES
Article 17.--CONSOLIDATION OF VOCATIONAL SCHOOLS WITH COMMUNITY COLLEGES

      71-1703.   Advisory boards, establishment upon consolidation, duties,meetings; program area advisory councils, appointment, qualifications, terms.Upon execution of each consolidation agreemententered into under this act:

      (a)   The governing body of the affected area vocational school or areavocational-technical school shall become and hereby is established as anadvisory board to the board of trustees of the community college with whichsuch area vocational school or area vocational-technical school isconsolidated. Each such advisory board shall be responsible for makingrecommendations to the board of trustees to which it is advisory on allmatters relating to vocational education including, but not by way oflimitation, matters relating to personnel, programs, budget and budgetallocations. Each advisory board shall meet at least monthly at a time andplace determined by it.

      (b)   Every community college consolidated with an area vocational school orarea vocational-technical school under the provisions of this act may haveprogram area advisory councils comprised primarily of persons in industryappointed bythe board of trustees of the community college and having the qualificationsand terms approved by the state board.
