Article 2.--ORGANIZATION, POWERS AND FINANCES OF BOARDS OF TRUSTEES

      71-210.   Affiliation with certain organizations and associations; paymentof dues, membership fees authorized.The board of trustees of any community college, upon majorityvote of the members thereof, is hereby authorized to pay dues ormembership fees from the general fund of such community collegefor affiliation with any organization or association the purpose andfunction of which is to provide for: (a) Accreditation necessary toenable the community college to fulfill its educational mission;or (b) eligibility for participation by the community college informal athletic competition; or (c) the exchange of information andcooperation among community and junior colleges for the strengthening ofprograms for the benefit of its member community and junior colleges; or(d) information, education and assistance to boards of trustees oncurriculum or in solving problems peculiar to community and juniorcollege operation.
