Article 4.--RESIDENCE DETERMINATION

      71-406.   State residence; determination for stateentitlements; rules and regulations.(a) Subject to the provisions of K.S.A. 71-407, and amendmentsthereto, personsenrolling in a community college who, if adults, have notbeen, or if minors, whose parents have not been residents of the stateof Kansas for at least six months prior to enrollment for any termor session are nonresidents of the state for the purpose of determining stateentitlements.

      (b)   For the purpose ofdetermining the residence of persons enrolling as astudent in a community college, residence of minors shall bedetermined as provided in K.S.A. 72-1046, andamendments thereto, andof adults as provided in subpart Twenty-third of K.S.A. 77-201, andamendments thereto. The state board ofregents may adopt rulesand regulations governing the determination of residence of students.
