      72-1910.   Technical advice and assistance; evaluationof charter schools;compilation of evaluations and submission to governor and legislature.(a) The state board of education shall provide, upon request,any school building or school district employees group, any educationalservices contractor, and any other person or entity with technical advice andassistance regarding the establishment and operation of a charter school or thepreparation of a petition requesting authorization of a board of education forthe establishment and operation of such a school.

      (b)   At the conclusion of each school year in which a charter school isoperated in a school district, the board of education of the school districtshall evaluate the impact the charter school has had on the educational systemof the district and shall submit the evaluation to the state board ofeducation.If applicable, the evaluation shall include a statement regarding thereasons why a charter school was discontinued or did not seek renewal andwhether the program will continue as a non-charter school.The state board shall review, assess and compile the evaluations ofcharter schools submitted by boards of education and shall submit thecompilation of evaluations and other relevant material, including specificationof school district and state board waivers granted with respect to theoperation of each charter school, to the governor and the legislature.
