72-5121. Rules and regulations of state board; preservation ofrecords; audits and inspections.The state board shall adopt rules and regulations for the keeping ofrecords and the making of reports on programs under this act. Such recordsshall at all times be available for inspection and audit by authorizedofficials and shall be preserved for a period of five (5) years. The stateboard shall conduct or cause to be conducted such audits, inspections, andadministrative reviews of records and operations with respect to foodservice programs as may be necessary to determine whether its agreementswith boards, the state law and rules and regulations are being compliedwith, and to insure that food service programs are effectivelyadministered.
